As you go through the Palworld tutorial, you'll receive instructions to confront the bosses, Zoe and Grizzbolt, at the Rayne Syndicate Tower. However, the game doesn't provide much guidance beyond telling you to be prepared for battles.
These towers in Palworld are somewhat like Pokémon gyms, but they have their unique features. Inside, there's a timed boss battle against a Pal and its trainer.
Upon defeating this duo, you'll earn an achievement and five Ancient Technology Points. These points are valuable as they allow you to learn crafting recipes from the helpful purple column. Additionally, you gain access to the tower's top, serving as a great spot to glide from.
Now, let's discuss how to take down Zoe and Grizzbolt in Palworld. Keep in mind that our experience is based on a solo playthrough on normal difficulty; results may vary in multiplayer or on a different difficulty setting.
How to Prepare for Rayne Syndicate’s Tower in Palworld:
Grizzbolt boasts over 30,000 HP, and you only have 10 minutes to defeat it. So, you need to power up significantly before taking it on. When we entered the tower, both our character and all five of our Pals were at level 12.
Notably, Grizzbolt is vulnerable to ground-type moves. Bring Pals with ground-type moves and level them up specifically for this fight. We even used Ground Skill Fruits found on the floor to teach two Pals additional ground-type moves, which proved beneficial.
Consider bringing Pals like Lifmunk or Foxsparks with active damaging skills, even if they don't match the type advantage. Our MVP, Dinossom, was excellent at absorbing Grizzbolt's attacks while dealing substantial damage.
We also used a bow and around 90 arrows to provide long-range support. Equipping Pelt Armor and a Feather Hair Band helped reduce the damage we received. With this setup, we defeated Zoe and Grizzbolt with about three minutes remaining on the timer.

When you're ready, find the tower north of the initial spawn area. There's a fast travel statue conveniently located right next to the tower.
How to Beat Zoe and Grizzbolt in Palworld:
If you've followed the above suggestions but are still struggling, here are some additional tips for survival:
- Rotate your Pals when their HP is low to prevent them from getting knocked out in battle. They recover HP slowly when back in their balls.
- Utilize active damaging skills like Lifmunks' or Foxsparks' to burst down the boss.
- Continue firing arrows for additional damage, aiming for headshots from the front.
- If Grizzbolt aims its scope at your Pal, withdraw it and wait for the beam to fire at nothing before sending it back out.
- If Grizzbolt aims at you with its scope, hide behind the pillars in the arena.
- Dodge roll away from Grizzbolt's attacks.
- Frequently re-orient your Pals by recalling and sending them back out to avoid wasting time due to blocked projectile attacks.
By following these strategies, you should be able to defeat Zoe and Grizzbolt without too many difficulties. If you still find it challenging, consider capturing more Pals to level up and make the fight easier.
