ASRock Introduces Appealing New AMD Entry-Level Gaming Graphics Cards – Custom Radeon RX 7600 XT GPUs with Boost Clock Speeds Reaching 2,810 MHz

AMD's Upcoming Radeon RX 7600 XT Set to Outshine Regular RX 7600 as Top Graphics Card. ASRock Unveils Radeon RX 7600 XT Steel Legend and Radeon RX 7600 XT Challenger with 16GB GDDR6 Memory.

ASRock introduces the Radeon RX 7600 XT Steel Legend, a 12-inch (304 mm) graphics card with a 2.6-slot design and triple-fan cooling. The card features a white shroud, an arctic camouflage-inspired metal backplate, and vibrant RGB lighting compatible with ASRock's Polychrome Sync ecosystem. The company employs a two-ounce copper PCB made with high-density glass fabric and 90A power chokes. A large nickel-plated copper base ensures effective cooling of the Navi 33 die and GDDR6 memory modules, with heat transferred through thick heat pipes to a sizeable heatsink with stacked fins.

With game and boost clock speeds of 2,810 MHz and 2,539 MHz, respectively, the Radeon RX 7600 XT Steel Legend offers a modest 3% improvement over the reference specifications. Power is drawn from two 8-pin PCIe connectors, and a minimum 650W power supply is recommended. Display options include three DisplayPort 2.1 outputs and a single HDMI 2.1 port.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Radeon RX 7600 XT Challenger measures a more compact 10.5 inches (267 mm). Sporting a subdued black exterior with white highlights, it features four blue LED indicators for illumination. Despite aesthetic differences, the Challenger shares key components with the Steel Legend, including the two-ounce copper PCB, 90A power chokes, and a robust heatsink.

Operating with a 2,516 MHz game clock and a boost up to 2,799 MHz, the Radeon RX 7600 XT Challenger offers similar performance but at a slightly lower speed than the Steel Legend. Like its counterpart, it requires dual 8-pin PCIe power connectors and a 650W power supply. Display outputs consist of three DisplayPort 2.1 ports and one HDMI 2.1 port.

The Radeon RX 7600 XT is scheduled for release on January 24, priced at a suggested $329. While ASRock hasn't disclosed specific pricing for the Radeon RX 7600 XT Steel Legend and Radeon RX 7600 XT Challenger, the former is expected to command a slight premium, with the latter potentially aligning with AMD's $329 suggested price.

In the competitive landscape, the Radeon RX 7600 XT will face off against Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4060 ($299) and Intel's Arc A770 ($329). Notably, AMD will not offer a Made by AMD (MBA) model for the Radeon RX 7600 XT, leaving the market open to custom models from AMD's AIB partners, including Acer, ASRock, Asus, Gigabyte, PowerColor, Sapphire, and XFX.
